Iceland Volcano ash still dominates the sky

Severe Disruption continues in Europe

Virtually all the airports are closed in whole of Europe as thick cloud of volcanic smoke blankets the whole sky. It is third day in a row when the planes are grounded. It is a big pinch on European economy at tis time of recession. The airlines are losing more than £200 millions a day.

The volcanic activity is still  increasing and causing more delays. Icelandic volcanic spewing overnight has caused more chaos than airlines have ever faced in decades.

Unfortunately the passengers can’t blame the government for this unforeseen natural disaster. The tourists are stranded waiting for flights to resume. People are seeking alternative arrangements if they can, but the situation of hiring a car or a bus is also  pretty tough. The trains are jam packed and there is a long queuing.

Passengers are offered refund or compensation for their stay till the flights resume.

This eruption at Eyjafjallajokull glacier in southern Iceland in 200 years,  first took place on 20th March 2010 followed by the second eruption on 14th April 2010. It has made a spectacular sight for adventurers, who are travelling to watch glowing and sparkling lava falling into the gorge below. Icelanders have never viewed such breathtaking scene of blazing mountain at the night before. It has made a huge cone of magnetic rock.

While this disaster has opened doors for tourist attraction in Iceland, it has caused a major disaster globally engulfing European airspace.
