Uruguay VS Germany

It was absolutely fantastic match between Uruguay and Germany in second semifinals of world cup at  Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. Both teams made it worth watching the game for audience. It was indeed a spectacula match.
Congratulations to Germany taking third place in World Cup.

It was a narrow escape for Germany and they might have been on the other side had Muslera not missed the goal allowing Mueller to tap the net easily who was just a few yards away from the goal.

Header from Khedira was just too good and saved Germany from loosing its position at third place.He was the star of the match.

Khedira  made total of 82  goals while Jansen with 56 second highest .

The first half was with 2 equals  and both teams were just aiming to get a goal which kept the spectators with crossed fingers. But Germans have become well known to work on mistakes of their rivals in this tournament  and were determined to take the lead in this match and succeeded with flying colours.

It goes without saying that Dieago Forlon  of Uruguay was excellent but his last kick was a few inches higher otherwise that would have taken Germany to extra time. But  it had a great impact on World Cup and they lost the chance of third place in this tournament. He is 31 year old and has so far played  7 matches, made 5 goals and has no yellow or red cards.

Forlon has now scored 29 times for Uruguay.
