Girija Prasad Koirala, former prime minister of Nepal died at the age of 86 in Kathmandu after illness on Saturday 20 March 2010.

During his political career since 1940, he was jailed, exiled, imprisoned or even detained a number of times. Under his leadership, the democracy won over other autocratic regimes. He always fought for the cause of people. It was under his regime that King’s absolute power ended in total bloodshed
and wiping off the imperial family in 2001.

President Obama has the skills to play with words. He needed 216 congressmen to support him to pass the reformed Health care bill. This would be the first time health care will be offered to millions of uninsured Americans.
He won the support to pass the bill.

Cheryl’s separation was announced when she was performing her hit song ‘Fight for this love'for British awards. Being one of the most popular judges in X factor, she had won enough admiration to remain in news for quite sometime. She has asked press not to address her as Cole but  Tweedy, her maiden name.
Matt Smith, the new 'Dr Who' is not the image we had in our mind. People would be waiting to watch eleventh 'Dr Who' in the new episode ‘the eleventh hour’.



Travel
British Airways has gone on 3 days strike from 20 March 2010 causing loss of £30 millions a day cancelling 1100 flights over three days. BA is determined not to agree with terms and conditions laid by the union memebers but has decided to carry on the travel schedule by hiring the planes and the crews.

Rendezvous bought Kochi for £221.7m ($ 333m) and Pune was bought by Sahara for £246m($ 370m).This tells the success stories of ever growing popularity of IPL teams which millions of Indian fans watch on TV.
